Rockstar isn't the most prolific of developers but it is certainly one of the very best. There are few open-world games around with as much thought and attention afforded it. (Pocket-lint) - The PlayStation 4 is a fine games console, make no mistake.

Uncharted 4: A Thiefs End Ps4,

Live out your Super Hero dreams in an epic action-adventure. When you’re ready to play a PS5 game that’s on an external USB drive, simply transfer the game back to the internal SSD via the Options Menu within the Library. You can play PS4 games directly from an external USB drive, or from the internal SSD. Check official sources, such as the publisher's or game's official website, for information on which editions are available for each game. Online connection is required to download digital games from the PlayStation Store.

On the one hand it was a brutally quick arcade off-road racer that pitted hardy vehicles against terrain that made the Paris-Dakar look like a nip down the supermarket. Dark Souls is typically the game of choice for insanely tough action, and rightfully so, but we actually prefer the PS4-exclusive sister game, Bloodborne. Similarly, it’s intensely difficult and refuses to hold your hand – in fact, it’ll bat your hand away and chide you for even assuming you’d be assisted. It’s been more than 26 years since the original PlayStation launched in Japan, and the quarter-century since has been packed with incredible gaming experiences. I think they will release the spiderman game close to the release of the sequel next year. Especially using another platform which is rife with piracy.

Plenty of the games on this list are big, thrilling action experiences, and it’s easy to see why those entries resonate with us so much… but Journey very much isn’t that type of game. It wasn’t easy to try and whittle down our huge starting list to just 25 picks, but we’ve done it anyway. So here are our 25 favourite PlayStation exclusives from across the years, including games that debuted first on a Sony console before spreading to others.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End

The idea of reconnecting a shattered civilization with an Uber-job might not hold up to much scrutiny, but the pseudo-weirdness is perfectly matched with an atmosphere of glorious solitude. It might have taken nearly 40 years, but one of sci-fi cinema's great texts finally got a game worthy of its legacy in this slow-burn horror from Creative Assembly and Sega. It's thick with atmosphere, conjuring a world of soft lights and whirring disk drives with a vivid authenticity. For all that Gran Turismo lost, though, it gained an awful lot more; a sense of focus, as driving experts Polyphony set about creating a serious racing game for arguably the first time.

The omens weren't great for Polyphony Digital's PlayStation 4 debut. But GTA 5 is still an astonishing piece of work, offering an island that feels hand-crafted down to each metre of tarmac and three protagonists who are going to be very hard for the series to top or even move beyond. In 2019 we know that all of this comes at a steep human cost. A boy nurses an injured beast back to health, and then boy and beast make their way through a vast, almost deserted kingdom. From dank grottos to spindly peaks of sun-bleached stone, this is a journey as much as it's a game. And as much as it's a journey it's also a rumination - on companionship and complicity and the kindness we owe the living things around us.

So apps are the future of the living room...certainly not PC. I have lots of friends that are PC nuts who got or want a PS5. I have an issue with MS buying up everything and if it doesn't sell they'll act like it never existed. @JohnKarnes irrelevant, the pc platform isn't owned by one particular company. I have a PS4 and a PC, so it's always interesting when I have an opportunity to play an upgraded version of a PS4 game.

And, the gameplay mechanics that introduce new weapons and powers as you progress are so finely tuned that you never feel overwhelmed by the increasing difficulty. Not just one of the best games on the PlayStation 4, The Witcher 3 can lay claim as being one of the best of all time. It is an extraordinary feat in game design, where it seems that every action undertaken in the massive third-person RPG has an effect on the game world. Save a merchant from some bandits in a random encounter, for example, you might meet him again many hours later in a city, where he gives you a massive discount on items he has for sale. The world itself also seems alive and vibrant while the game is also capable of testing your skills so you don’t just blitz through it.

Call Of Duty: Warzone

Widely regarded as one of the best fighters of all time, Tekken 3 landed in PlayStation gamers’ homes a year after it first entered the world in arcade cabinet-form. Its side-scrolling fighter action threw in an element of 3D depth, allowing players to dodge attacks by jumping towards the background, and its roster of characters was about as diverse as you can get. Who knew that a gruff, ash-white-and-red guy would become such an engaging lead? Sony did, apparently, and Kratos has driven the God Of War series into the pantheon of all-time great action games. It started with the fantastic PlayStation 2 debut, which delivered epic showdowns against mythological bosses and incredible combo-driven combat, all while pushing the aging hardware to new heights.
